Sometimes (pretty often, actually) things in life don’t seem to go as planned. That’s exactly the situation with Deuteronomium’s upcoming 4th studio album. The plans did change for one more time. Jayson Sherlock, who was about to play the drums for the new album, couldn’t find enough time for that in his calendar after all, so we had to delay the recordings one more time.
But good news are that our very own J-J is still in the row after spending a sabbath year from the band activities. So we’re gonna make the new album with him. Right now we’re making the final arrangements for the songs and rehearsing them. The recordings will start in March.
We’ll keep you updated on the progress of the album making process!

We’ve got some really exciting news concerning Deuteronomium’s upcoming 4th studio album! Since J-J is having a sabbath year from Deuteronomium -activities, we needed to find a good drummer who could play the drums for the new album. We decided to ask for a great drummer that has been a huge influence for Deuteronomium ever since the early 90′s, along with legendary christian metal band Mortification he used to be a part of.
Yes, we’re talking about mr. Jayson Sherlock, who has kindly agreed playing drums for our new album! This is truly an amazing situation and a dream come true for us, and you can be sure we’re gonna give our best shot to make the album really worth having such a professional musician and a great guy involved in this process! To get an idea of what Jayson has been doing lately, check out his current band inExordium.

As you can see, our website has gotten a fresh, new look! A HUGE “Thank You” goes to our Swiss Street Team leader Daniela Bucher, who has made amazing work making the website look really good and, even more important, work better than the old one.

After the successful Mexican tour the band took a deep breath and had some rest. But now is the time to start working again!
The big news is that our drummer J-J Kontoniemi has decided to spend a sabbath year from the Deuteronomium -activities. He’s still a member of the band and will be playing some live shows with us, but otherwise he’s concentrating on other things than Deuteronomium during the year 2010.
Another big thing is that we will start working on our fourth studio album! The song material for the new album has been ready for a few months already, so it’s about the time to really get into the work. The demos for the songs will be recorded in March, and after that the final arrangements will be made before heading to the studio to start the real recordings. The new album will be made with a session drummer.
